Student compositions generally showed considerable growth in quality compared to the first efforts after peer feedback with rubrics and checklists. Students had an increased awareness of form and the choices a composer makes when creating music. There was increased note fluency as a result of composing. Peer editing improved the ability to give and receive criticism, as well as composition skills for both the composer and editor.
